A truck, also known as a cargo truck, is a vehicle used primarily for transporting goods. Depending on the load and purpose, trucks can be divided into heavy, medium, light and micro types. The gross mass of a heavy truck is greater than or equal to 12,000 kg, while the gross mass of a medium truck is between 4,500 kg and 12,000 kg. The gross mass of a light truck is less than 4,500 kg, while the gross mass of a micro truck is less than 1,800 kg.
The main power source of a truck is a diesel engine, but some light trucks use gasoline, LPG or natural gas as power. The cargo box of a truck is usually mounted on a frame with the cab and is made into various forms according to transportation needs.
